Pot'Pourri the 43rd Challenge

I loved this challenge because I had to really think about how to get all the items on the page in the correct order.  I stamped on the butterfly chipboard piece (grungeboard) and used some glimmer mist and an alphabet stencil in two corners, like you see above.  It adds a nice amount of texture on the page.  I used my scallop decorative scissors to cut the edge of one of the trim pieces and used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the other trim piece.  I am happy with how it all turned out.  Now, let's see yours!

52 Week Scrapbook Challenge Wrap Up!

I really need to "wrap up" this challenge so I'm posting the last ten challenges here all at one time.  As I finish each challenge I'll post the results.  Here they are:

1. (43) Pot’pourri (use the following items on a page at least once: letter stickers, rub-ons, punches, chipboard, stencils/masks, deco scissors,  ribbon, brads and stamps).

2.  (44) Using transparencies on a layout.

3.  (45) Go mega! (think really big for everything)

4. (46) Use charms and decorative pins on a page.

5.  (47) Decoupage on a page (Decoupage - the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and so on)

6.  (48) Alter a photo, physically take a photo and scratch into it or paint on it or do whatever you think will create a fun focal point on your page.

7.  (49) Make a photo montage on a page.

8.  (50) Ric Rac and Scallops together on a page

9.  (51) Stamp on Patterned Paper (Use stamps on decorative patterned paper)

10.  (52) Combine two of the challenges and create a layout.

That will complete the "52 Week Scrapbooking Challenge".  I will show you how many albums I filled once I have completed the 52nd challenge.  Woot Woot!

Challenge 41 is Wrap photos with string or ribbon and add a tag

I have to admit that it has been really hard staying the course with this challenge this summer.  And yet, here I go trudging forward.  Only 11 left to go.  It's also getting harder to decide on what to do for the challenges.  Any ideas?  If so, drop me a comment below this post.  Thanks.

Challenge 40 is Swirls!!!  Have fun!!

Finally - I've finished Challenge 39 - A Day In Your Life page

I didn't have any photos to go along with this one so I improvised by using my Cricut and Gypsy to come up with different icons.  It was fun and surprising as to how close the images came to what I wanted them to stand for. So here it is:

Metallics! Challenge 35...Done!

The photo just doesn't do it justice.  It looks so much more "metallicy" in person.  The camera really didn't pick that up.  Oh well, here's my finished challenge page:

Challenge #35 of the 52 Week Scrapbooking Challenge

Here is your challenge for this week:

Create a page, card, or whatever featuring METALLICS.  Meaning, use your metallic look papers or real metal embellishments.  Try to do the whole page in wonderful, beautiful metallics.  Have fun!!!

Finished with Challenge 33: Decorative Scissors

I never use decorative scissors, or maybe I shouldn't say that, I do use the Large and Small Deckle scissors from time to time, but the rest of them, never.   I made this page during our App & Scrap (Appetizers and Scrapbooking) Night and one of the other ladies was using them the same time I was.  And she rarely uses them also.  So it was funny to be passing them back and forth all night.  After we dusted them off of course.
Here's my page:
(I used CTMH paper in Juniper, Creme Brulee and Sorbet.
I usedCricut Cartridges Doodlecharms and Lyrical Letters)

Here's Nickel Nooks finished Decorative Scissors Challenge page!

If you're stopping by for the first time, your welcome to join in on the challenges anytime you would like, do one of them, some of them or all of them, we'd love to have you join us.  Post a link to your website in the comments section anytime on any of the challenge posts.  It's just for the sake of having fun and using it up!

Results for Challenge 33: Favorite Movie Quote

So many favorites to choose from.  This was a fun page to think about because there were so many possibilities for the favorite.  This was the first that came to my mind. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
