I had a wonderful time at the SB Retreat! It was a success! I completed 36 pages and a complete 5 x 7 album. Mission Accomplished!!! Everyone seemed pretty happy with everything that they were working on. We left the "Craftin' Cabin" a scrapbook page commemorating our stay. Here are some pics of the fun:

Military Appreciation!
I want to take a moment to thank all of our men and women of the military, who have served past and present.
All the sacrifices that you make or had made on a daily basis astounds me and I feel that there is no way that I could ever pay that back. You lay your life on the line for freedom. You have my undying respect, appreciation and devotion. You'll always have a very special place in my heart.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE, OUT OF HARMS WAY!!! COME HOME Y'ALL!!!
Thank you - thank you - thank you!!!!

My Grandfather served in the Army during WWI.
My father served as a Marine in the Korean War.
My son is now serving in the U.S Army.
Many of my Uncles served during WWII.

Scrapbooking Retreat Time!!!
It's just about time to pack up all my stuff and take it for an hour & a half drive north to scrapbook for 4 happy days. My friends and I rented a cottage near a lake for the whole weekend starting Thursday. The cottage is set up for quilters, sewers and scrapbookers.
I've been busy making lots and lots of page kits in hopes that it will relieve the quantity and weight of the bags I'll be taking. With page kits I have everything I need for all the pages I have planned to make all in one folder. I'm still bringing alot of extras, like my embellishments, my alphas, my cricut, my rub-ons
We have a full kitchen so we are all bringing our own food. So I have to pack clothes, toiletries, food and scrapbooking stuff. I also want to bring my crochet projects for something else to do if I get tired of one thing or another.
I'm very psyched for this brief interlude of continuous play!!!
NO INTERUPPTIONS, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN??!!

The 44th Challenge Finished - Using Transparencies
I would've finished this one alot sooner but I couldn't find my transparencies. I bought some years ago and never used them. I finally stumbled across the transparencies while I was looking for something else so I put them aside to play with. I have never used transparencies on a layout before so it truly was a challenge for me. Once I started the page though, it became fun thinking about what else I could add to it. I love the colors and the photos I used of my great niece *(boy, that makes me sound old). I'm very happy about how it came out. On to the 45th challenge...!

Pot'Pourri the 43rd Challenge
I loved this challenge because I had to really think about how to get all the items on the page in the correct order. I stamped on the butterfly chipboard piece (grungeboard) and used some glimmer mist and an alphabet stencil in two corners, like you see above. It adds a nice amount of texture on the page. I used my scallop decorative scissors to cut the edge of one of the trim pieces and used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the other trim piece. I am happy with how it all turned out. Now, let's see yours!

Steampunk Mini #2
The inside pages are the same as my steampunk mini because we swapped the inside pages with a total of 4 people. But, the covers are all different and how we've laid out the inside pages.
This mini album was completed by Annette, she said that she used an old coin folder for her cover. I'm really lovin' it Annette, great job!!!
