Results of the Altered Book Challenge 1 of 4

This is my book, the artists are Annette, Ruth and Cyndi:

CHALLENGE 1: 3-3-3

Use 3 of something 3 times.

(EVERYONE'S WELCOME TO JOIN US)

I’m thinking you could use 3 colors, 3 photos, 3 ribbons or 3 coordinating decorative papers, 3 brads, 3 pcs of chipboard, anything goes. Whatever you do, do it in 3’s three times.

When your finished with the challenge, post pics of your finished work on your blog. Then I’ll post your blog link so everyone who visits can go there.

Please post no later than Saturday so we can start the new challenge on Sunday.

In order to find this challenge easier, I’m renaming it “52 Week Scrapbook Challenge”.

The new challenges will be posted on Sunday no later than 9:00 PM CST, most of the time it will be in the morning.

Ok, so there’s our first challenge, I hope that everyone has a fun time creating.

52 WEEK SCRAPBOOKING CHALLENGE!!

I would love to have another challenge like the 40 Day Scrapbooking Challenge.  I had alot of fun doing that challenge and I want to get back into that creative flow again. 

So this time, I think I would like to do a weekly challenge, not as demanding as a two page spread everyday for 40 days, but still fun and inspiring.  I will post the challenge/sketch of the week on my blog on Sunday evenings.  So watch for it.

If you decide to join us in this challenge, please post your work on your blog and leave that link in the comments section. Or you could go to my profile on this blog and email me a photo of your layouts so that I can upload them on my blog.  Sound like fun?  Be sure and let me know that you're with us by leaving a comment here or anywhere this challenge is mentioned.

OK, So Here's the Damage!!!

I had alot of fun today hanging out at the Expo.  Below are some pics of what I bought.  The only thing that I paid full price for was the October Afternoon paper packet, which I fell in love with.  Other than that, most everything was priced really well.  So here it is:

Hey Everybody,  I'm so excited, I'm going to the Scrapbook Expo today in St. Charles.  I'm picking up my girlfriends at 8 a.m. and we're off for a fun day!  Hopefully, I won't buy too much.  I'll show ya later what I get.  TTFN.  http://www.scrapbookexpo.com/CH-10/

Our Altered Book Challenge is finished

We decided to have some fun with altered books.  We each chose a hardcover book, and prepared it for swapping.  We glued 3 to 4 pages together in order to give the pages more stability, some of us made the first page in the books a "guest artist sign in" page and some of us decorated the covers, then we proceded to swap.  We were going to give each other 2 weeks before we swapped the books back and forth, but to our amazement, we were finished with all the books within 2 weeks.  I'll post those pics soon.  With this challenge we crossed over from scrapbooking to art journaling. That was alot of fun~! 

Now on to the next challenge, which I'm not sure what that will be yet.  Because we leave for a Scrapbook retreat in 4-1/2 weeks.  So we need to get ready for that. Maybe our challenge can be "how we packed for the retreat".  Wouldn't a you tube video of that be fun?
