Blog Update!

I've been sick with a cold, and it's been snowing alot lately.

I've also been feeding the birds outside and there has been so many beautiful birds to see.  Lots, and lots of Cardinals, Mourning Doves, Blue Jays, and  even a Red-Headed Woodpecker amongst hundreds of Tree Sparrows.  I love watching them.  O, and a couple of squirrels too.

I'm working on a new endeavor, it's an Art Journal.  I've unburied my many art mediums and have started playing with them all in my Art Journal while sitting in my chair, being sick.  It's seems to be my new passion.

I am also completing a February swap mini with Kindred Kreators, I love how it's turning out.  It's really different for me.  I can tell you that Annette found a large "kid" puzzle that we all took 6 pieces from to build the mini on. I can't post it until the swap is over, on January 29th.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Homemade Christmas Gifts

I made these sticky pad holders for the ladies where I work.  I hope they like them.

Tags from Staples

Hey Everybody!  I bought these tags plain (manilla colored) from Staples and tried coffee staining them.  They're still a little damp, but I like how they turned out.  I used hot water and lots of instant coffee and it worked really well.  I did the larger tags earlier and just used leftover cold coffee which didn't color them as well.

"Baby, It's Cold Outside!" This is for Marlene.

Marlene is enjoying (or I hope she is) her 80 degree weather, I'm enjoying gas heat in my living room.  Here's the pics you requested Marlene.  I like to feed the birds here at the feeders.  We have lots of Cardinals, Juncos, Tree Sparrows, Cow birds and I even saw a Robin, he must've missed his "flight".   MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We decided we needed a name for our group, or rather, I decided that we did.  So, here it is, whenever I mention Kindred Kreators I'm speaking of Annette, Cyndi, Me, Ruth and Julie.  It just seems easier to mention KK than all of our names.

Along with our Mini-Album page swap we have decided to start swapping ATC cards.  We'll post those when we have them.  Our first swap date for that is January 29th, of 2010.

Christmas Tag Swap

These are our tags that we made for our December "card" swap.  We chose to do tags instead of cards.  It was alot of fun and the results are amazing.  Thanks everybody!

Hi Everybody,

I saw this idea online somewhere and just loved it.  I dug out my Christmas Glitter Stack from DCWV.  And then I cut out various cardstock pieces of the "Bldg3" at 11 inches from my Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge, including the roof, snow pieces, and door cut outs.  Then I cut from "cereal" box cardboard the house shape for the front and back cover.  I used the deep cut blade for that one.  I found the blank worksheets at %20I .     I really like how it turned out.  Maybe this year I'll be really organized and stress free for the Holidays.

Please leave a comment if you have any questions.

Thanks for coming to my blog.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

A Christmas Tag Tease

Here's a Christmas Tag I made last night, it was really simple, but I really like how it turned out.  I have some old books that I tear pages out of to use for papercrafting.  I stamped a poinsettia image on the page and cut it out and put it on the tag with dimensional adhesive.  The stamps were from Close To My Heart, The Gift of Love (poinsettia) and Christmas Scripts.   I cut the tags from my Cricut, I think it was on the Tags, Bags and Boxes cartridge.

4th and Last Album page challenge results.

This page was completed by A.M.  Great job everybody!  That was fun!  Now on to the next project.  We're all making a Vintage Christmas mini album page to swap with each other.  Can't wait to see those.  I'll post them when they are finished.  After that,  there is the Christmas/Anytime tag swap that is coming up.  I'll post those pics when I get them all in.  Happy Scrapping everybody!
