Update on the Oct 15th Post - Re the "garage sale"

Good news!  I took 2 full bins of scrapbooking supplies to our town's scrapbook store for their quarterly "garage sale".  When I picked up what remained afterward, I only had one bin filled.  Yeah!  I still have alot to do to make a dent, but that definately helped.

Mini-Album Page Challenge for My Friends!

I decided to get together some fun things to complete a mini-album page challenge for my friends.  I kept one kit for myself and four others to give to my scrapping buddies.  They'll get their's this friday night.  I am going to post my finished page here soon, so you all can see how I did, I tried to use up everything, but still had some paper, brads, velcro and rub-ons left over.  All in all, I thought I did pretty good using it all!  And I'm very happy with the way it turned out.  Have fun watching!

I'll be uploading the other's pages as they finish them so you can see them.

VIDEO BELOW...

I'm using it up by sharing it with friends! Check out this challenge!

I managed to clean out some papers and other things to take over to our neighborhood scrapbook store.  They are having a "garage sale" there this saturday and whatever I sell, I get a store credit. So in reality I'm exchanging old stuff for new stuff.  Which is totally more fun to play with.

Some Pics from the Retreat & Some of My Pages

60 PAGES DONE! YAHOO!

I'm back! I had a wonderful time scrapbooking and just hanging out with all my friends. I finished about 60 pages, 8-1/2 x 11, 5 x 7 and 12 x 12. I think that I definately brought too much. I was feeling overwhelmed at times because of all I brought. Next year I am going to be more focused on what I plan to do and try to bring only what I need. I'm putting this down in writing so that when the time comes to pack up next year, I'll read this and remember. I still had a great time making some really fun pages, and hanging out with my friends. I also love going around and seeing what everyone else is doing. All the ladies are very talented in putting pages together, and they inspire me. I love it!!

SCRAPBOOK RETREAT TIME!!

Hey Everybody,

Tomorrow is the day we leave for our scrapbooking retreat.  There are 10 ladies including myself meeting at a nice hotel about 3 hours away.  This is the third year of our retreat.  We plan it around Columbus Day weekend each year.  With 4 suites rented we got a large conference room for free.  Can't wait, I'm very excited to be creative with no interruptions for 4 days, yahoo!!!!  No cooking, cleaning or laundry for 4 days!!

Now, what do I pack?  The hard part is to remember clothes, and food.

Mini Squash Book

This album was made from cardstock and chipboard.  It's a "squash" type album.

Laughing Cow container scrapbook

This scrapbook was made from a "laughing cow" container.  I painted it and decoupaged the whole thing, then added the insides, which open like an accordian.

Made from Cardstock and a Heart Explosion Template

I made this scrapbook from cardstock, it opens as a tri-fold album and is dedicated to my parents.

Flip Flop Album

I got the idea for this from a Close To My Heart catalog and just had to make one.  Yes, they're made from real flip flops.

Small Scrapbook from Cardstock

I got the instructions for this album online somewhere. It's done in a 3 x 3 format. I put photos of my flowers in it.  It says "flowers" on each square.
