Playing in the Birdseed

I made this page last night. I really like how it turned out. All of my supplies are mixed together so I can't tell you manufacturers products. I really like how I stretched out using the letters. The "e's" in "seed" are "c's" and the "h" in "the" is a "y", and the "r" in "bird" is a "j". I think it looks good enough to actually read! Lol

I Started A New Online Scrapbooking Class at Two Peas

I started this online class yesterday at Two Peas called "Art Class With Wilna".  She uses mixed media as the foundation of her pages.  Since I love Scrapbooking and Mixed Media Art I thought that this class would be right up my alley *(so to speak).  The class was $25 and there are 10 sessions. 

I am currently working on the first session that has 3 pages to make.  I've finished the first page, which is below and am looking forward to making the other two.  I love this course!

Wilna, the instructor, uses a silhouette, I used the Cricut.  To make the frames for the photos I combined a rectangle on the George cartridge and some flourishes on the Storybook cartridge.  I never would have thought of that if I had't taken this class.  Cool!

A Scrapbook Page...

I wanted to make this eyelet studded chip board piece that I found in my new embellishment book I previous posted about.  I have alot of eyelets and alot of chipboard so this was a good page to do.  I started with the pink cardstock and inked the edges to age it.  I found an inspiration page in a scrapbook magazine that I have.  I painted over a flower stencil that I have with white paint to the background.  Then I doodled a little.  I like how the page turned out and I'm really glad that I was able to use items from my scrap piles.  Yeah, more of these please!

Scrapbook page made with ideas from The Scrapbook Embellishment Book, previously mentioned on this blog.  I love this book, I had to buy one!  I'm still waiting for it to arrive.  I made this page before I returned it to the Library.

I Love Books!

I checked out a book from our local library called The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook.  It has alot of cool ideas that I would love to implement on my pages.  I'll post those when I start making them.  The book is worth checking out if you get the chance.
